I have been making photographs ever since receiving my first
camera, an Asahi Pentax, ordered by mail from Japan in 1968.
Viewing the world through the lens of a camera, whether it
is a midwestern farm landscape or the Yellow Mountains of
China, allows me the opportunity to connect physically, emotionally
and creatively to the subject at hand.
